    In the archonship of Heliodoros (228/7), in the eighth prytany, of Pandionis, for which Charias son of Kallias of Athmonon^IX^ was secretary. Decrees of the People. (5) Of the presiding committee (proedrōn) Hagnotheos son of Philogenes of Agryle^I^ was putting to the vote, and his fellow presiding committee members, Lamprias of Thorai^II^, Hieron of Anagyrous^III^, Kallimedes of Kydantidai^IV^, Nikokleides of Phrearrhioi^VI^, Diokles of Prospalta^VII^, Apollodotos of Oe^VIII^, Kallistratos of Sypalletos^IX^, (10) Leonides of Kopros^X^, Sophanes of Trikorynthos^XI^, [[-]]+1+ of Pallene^XII^. Kephisodoros son of Aristodemos of Xypete proposed: since the laws also ordain, that those whom the People has honoured for setting up trophies, whether by land or sea, or for re-establishing liberty (tēn eleutherian epanorthōsantas), (15) or for putting their private resources towards the collective (koinēn) preservation (sōtērian), or for having been benefactors or good advisors, with meals (sitōi) in the city hall (prutaneiōi), that the Council and the People should take care of them and their descendants, and that the People should give a dowry for the betrothal of their daughters, as much as (20) it shall wish, and for the re-establishment of their private property, to each according to the worth of their benefactions, and the grandfather of Timosthenes, Timosthenes,+2+ was responsible for the People obtaining many great benefits . . . and . . . the city . . . from him to (25) . . . hundred and fifty . . . and of peace . . . . . . and the treasurer (?) . . . honour-loving (philotim-) (30) . . . and . . . . . . that the Council shall decide, that the presiding committee (proedrous) allotted to preside at the forthcoming Assembly shall place these matters on the agenda, and submit the opinion of the Council to (35) the People, that it seems good to the Council that the People [shall choose?] . . . . . . . . . . . . and . . . . . .
