[Statue of] Asterius. An eternal testimony to his steadfastness and restraint. To Lucius Turcius Apronianus, of clarissimus rank, son of Turcius Apronianus, of clarissimus rank, prefect of the City, grandson of Turcius Secundus, of clarissimus rank, consul; to the quaestor, praetor, member of the board of 15 men for sacred affairs, governor ( corrector ) of Tuscia et Umbria. Because of his shining merit and exceptional justice, by which he took measures for Faria Lucensia with all usefulness and honesty, by agreement of the most obedient council ( ordo ) and the whole people ( populus ) of this same city, when his time in office was completed, [the city] arranged, in the year when our Lords were consuls for the third and second time, that a bronze statue to [its] patron was set up; it was decreed on the Ides of March in the year after Amantus and Albanus were consuls.
