This historical inscription, contains the life and deeds of the first Emperor, Augustus (Res Gestae Divi Augusti). It is preserved in several fragments and copies, mainly from modern Turkey and is an extremely important source because it provides an historical account from the point of view of the protagonist of the Roman Revolution. The one in these photos is in Ankara (Turkey) and covers the wall of the Temple of Augustus and Rome
