This is a good example of a bilingual inscription from the catacombs in Rome. It is the famous inscriptions of Varronia Fotine, where the official text of the epitaph in Latin is followed by the Greek δούλη with a negative (or at least obscure) acception for those among the readers who did not know how to solve the two Greek monograms ᾿Ιη(σοῦ) Χρ(ιστοῦ) and the possible meaning of the anchor.
Sometimes there are also texts in which Greek and Latin are used for different contents but coherently.
