Workshop 1 – Translations
Morning 26th January Aula Seminari e Tesi 9:00 -12:00
The need for translations of epigraphic documents, both for didactic and research purposes as well as for user engagement, has become patent in the latest years. The EAGLE MediaWiki has been collecting translations and is integrated with Perseids to allow board revision of the translations submitted to the Wikibase powered wiki. In this half day workshop you will be shown how the EAGLE MediaWiki works and you will enter your own translations of inscriptions.
Workshop 2 will be held by members of the EAGLE Working Group 1 on Translations and content curation.
Workshop 2 – EAGLE search engine and Storytelling Application
Afternoon 26th January 2016 Aula Seminari e Tesi 14:00 -18:00
The EAGLE Storytelling Application allows users to write short articles with easy access to the primary sources (inscriptions, maps, etc.). During this workshop you will be shown how to write your own story with the EAGLE Storytelling application. You will get to know about the EAGLE Vocabularies, the iDAI gazetteer and the EAGLE search engine and portal.
Workshop 3 will be held by Francesco Mambrini
Coffee, Lunch and Refreshments aux frais des participants.
